Description:
Dawn Damante, the coordinator of UH Geauga Medical Center Niche and Geriatric Programs, will provide an overview of the growth of the programs over the years. She will include multiple ways to partner with those in the community for older adult wellness and injury prevention. Dotti Thompson will provide information on the partnering of Rehab Services and assessments utilized for older adult balance and fall prevention in the community. You will be able to use resources and assessments form the presentation in your practice the next day.
Objectives:
Following this course, attendees will be able to:
- Recognize older adult facts and statistics through the UH Geauga overview.
- 2. Understand the alignment of Rehab Services with community injury and fall prevention programs.
- 3. Identify at least three community resources and partnerships that could be used in your area of practice.
- 4. Name at least one resource you can use in your practice this month.
